 | | | | Customer Reviews: Average Rating: Rating : - Don't buy this book !!! Well, the aprons are cute, but they are close to being impossible to realize unless your are experienced and you can improvise and correct mistakes. The patterns are not right. You have to adjust constantly, cutting fabric here and there. I am working on Summertime blues. There is no way you can cut all the pieces in 3/4 yards of the complimentary fabric !!! Impossible !!! I had to cut some pieces out of the third fabric, because I had enough of that one. And then take the explanations : Number 3 : to make the neck ties she says to fold the wrong sides together .... and then turn them right side out after you're done stitching ... yes, sure !!! If you do this, you end up with the wrong side out !!!! (which I didn't since I know the basic principles of sewing). I could go on and on. Unfortunately, I purchased the fabric for several aprons at the same time, before starting on my projects. I have been cutting the pieces for Lorelei (just to see).... I don't have enough of the complimentary fabric again, and had to improvise with other fabric (for others she will make you buy way to much). How on earth can you cut that neckstrap in 1/4 of a yard ??? And I have not started to sewing that one yet (I'm still trying to put the first one together, raising my blood pressure several points). Do yourself a favor, buy some nice patterns that give you the right amount of fabric and the right measures and explanations if you don't want making yourself miserable as well as everybody in your house !!!! I only give one star for the ideas, that is what it deserves ..... but browsing in the aisles of a fabric store with some GOOD patterns in your hands will have the same effect. Grrrrrrrr !!!! + See Full Customer Review | | | | |
