Product Description:
Although the DB2 was originally designed for outdoor use, it has quickly become one of our most popular indoor antennas due to its small size and extraordinary gain. The bowtie design provides strong gain across the entire UHF spectrum and it functions incredibly well in areas where a low profile antenna is required. In fact the DB2 was recently named "The highest performing indoor antenna" from HDTV Primer. Range 1 - 30 miles distance

Customer Reviews: Average Rating:

Rating : - Good Antenna
I bought this for my mom about 6 months ago for her 50" Plasma when she moved to a place where the only "cable" she can get is what the building supplies for free which is horrible, gives her about 25 channels and no HD at all.

Now she is on the 2nd floor of a 12 story building and on the exact opposite side of where the local stations are located, meaning she has no direct line towards those stations, the entire building and lots of trees are in the way and she has no option to install it outside so I just have it sitting on the floor behind the curtains.
The building also has several antennas on the top, cell phone and who knows what else as they are lined up all across the top, these no doubt put out a lot of interference.

So obviously she is in about the worst possible spot to receive any decent signals no matter what antenna she uses.
Having said all that the antenna gives her about a 60% signal to most of the local stations, depending on the weather she gets a clean enough signal to get most of the channels.
At night in clear weather she gets a perfectly crisp noninterrupted signal.
Sometimes during the day in windy/rainy weather the signals will get those digital blocky interruptions.

I think I am going to buy her a Channel master Pre Amp and see if that will help a bit.

This is a great antenna however it can't work miracles.
