| Customer Reviews: Average Rating: Rating : - x8350 performance I previously owned the x7350 printer (2 years old, 22,000 pages printed), and it performed ok. The x8350 appears to be working to the same caliber as the x7350. The printer is used in a work environment, mainly printing and scanning. Used high yield print cartridges #34 & #35. Did try using refilled cartridges from different places, but the ink smeared, so stayed with the new cartridges, but extended the number of pages printed (about 50%) by using the DRAFT mode. Also, even though there is an indicator when the ink is low (or empty), there is ink still in the cartridge, so continued to used until would get a printout that had print fading - usually 20-25 full sheets prints are still let in the "empty" cartridge.
I like the duplex feature, and in the properties I have the printer set to draft/duplex mode (this extends the number of pages printed by about 50% extra). The only problem I had with the x7350 is that occasionally the print would get stuck in the 'queue' and not print, then I would have to turn the printer off, disconnect, reboot the computer, all to clear out the print queue. In the 2 years this may have occurred 6 times.
I like the printer (either model) because of the sturdiness, small footprint, non-expiring ink cartridges, draft/duplex capabilities, and price (1/2 the cost of the x7350). With Amazon free shipping, the printer arrived 2 days after ordering. The x7350 (2-y/o) will replace an HP135 (6-y/o). + See Full Customer Review | |
