I purchased the belt to support my back. I'm 7 month pregnant and this is my second child. I had back pain from 5th month. I would say it works more like a sling and keeps my child in place(I had a big tummy because it is the second). It might help my back a little but not very noticable. Plus it's not very comfortable to use in summer.
