Amazon.com:
Louise Taylor is a folkie singer/songwriter/guitarist whose vivid lyrics are stronger than her ordinary melodies. Ruby Shoes was produced by Windham Hill founder Will Ackerman with help from such Windham Hill artists as Virginia bassist Michael Manring. The mostly drummer-less arrangements are often too laid back, but her words perk things up, as when she describes her heart, abandoned "in the back of a rusty pickup truck, restless and rolling like an old beer can." In contrast to Gallup's narratives, Taylor prefers miniature studies, where she describes a childhood friend's toothy smile, a hometown sidewalk, or a photo in a silver locket in such detail that a whole world is implied. --Geoffrey Himes

Rating : - Lose Your Heart To This One Woman Troubador
Had the good fortune of knowing and falling in love with this sweet soul when she was 18 years old. She knew approximately 6 chords on the guitar back then but blew me away with what she could do with them .Her rhythyms , Her words, and the places they would take you I still cannot describe. I didn't know what hit me when I first heard her.I would normally just set my guitar down and listen. The resonance of her voice and the depths from where it all came from was something that I had been trying to tap into within myself, in the many years that I had been playing, but had'nt been able to yet . She could have wrote a book on "How to touch someones heart with your words and make them think you came out of the womb with a guitar in your hand with only knowing 6 chords or less". Needless to say Louise touched my heart more than she ever knew. In the many years that followed with my musical career I never realised how much this fine lady had inspired me to sing and play from my heart. I had also tapped into this finally . Over the last 16 years having two wonderful little girls to raise and now seeing them almost grown up I realised that there was something big missing in my life but wasn't sure what it was. Surfing on the internet one night I came across a picture of my old friend Louise and it floored me but good, cause I finally realised what I had lost. I hadn't picked up the guitar in almost 15 years . I didn't even own one anymore. Used it for rent one month when times were hard. I didn't realise it until then how much it had meant to me and how much I missed it. My best memories of my life, besides my wonderful children and my life with them, was the happiness I felt within myself and those around me when I played my music. Louise and I have corresponded off and on for the last 6 months after I found her that night on my computer. I picked up her 4 albums and I can truthfully say she has inspired me to play again. I have a new Martin on order coming from Hawaii and soon I will be back in touch with the music that I love. Just to show you what kind of person she is, when I told her about all of this, she told me it had nothing to do with her, it was all from inside myself. Well, I can only say this . People that touch you in your life, and she never knew that she had, help you open those doors again , just by their presence sometimes, and especially their music. I will never forget Louise. Do yourself a big favor and let her into your heart through her music and you will never forget her either. The music business is a real tough one . Some of the ones that have made it in this business don't deserve to be there. She Does. And to think they actually sell this junk. Hopefully, The whole world will know Louise Taylor someday. You will always be in my heart, Louise. Joe Andre
