Rating : - Beware - Unresolvable Glitch
After more than a month of working with numerous Sling Media technicians (including several tech escalations up to "Tier 3") to get my Slingbox SOLO to work properly with my Verizon FIOS Actiontec router, I was told today that there is a "glitch" in the Slingbox SOLO as it relates to compatibility with the router used by Verizon FIOS in the US. I was also told that the Sling technicians are continuing to work to determine why my Slingbox SOLO consistently freezes after 4 minutes of viewing. Furthermore, Sling Media did not provide an estimated time-frame for resolution of this issue and only offered this "we are working on it" response after all other "pass the buck" excuses, such as insufficient band width, were ruled out.

The number of hours (>30), cell phone minutes and frustration resulting from this experience has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed in the Slingbox SOLO product and Sling Media as a company.

At best, I expect that the Slingbox SOLO should work properly considering I have a new computer, a new Verizon FIOS Actiontec router, excellent bandwidth for the upload from home and excellent bandwidth for the download from my office (which is a mile away). At worst, I expect good follow-up and customer service to resolve my issue.

Unfortunately, I received neither from Sling Media. In the end, I am left to assume that "glitch" is Slingbox speak for 1) "our ability to resolve customer technology issues is very limited" or 2) "we can't be bothered with trying to resolve your issue".

Let the buyer beware!
