Soft Paws are an excellent alternative to declawing your cat(s). They are easy to apply and are completely safe and humane. Soft Paws are vinyl nail caps that are applied with an adhesive on to your cat's existing nails. Soft Claws will NOT interfere with your cat's normal claw extraction and retraction. Best of all cats tolerate them extremely well. The pack contains 40 (FOURTY) nail caps, 6 (SIX) applicator tips, 2 (TWO) tubes of special adhesive and complete instructions. As a rule of thumb, Small Size fits cats weighing up to 8lbs, Medium fits cats 9lbs to 13lbs and Large fits cats 14lbs and up.

We adopted our 5-month old cat from the Humane Society recently and one stipulation in the agreement was that we would not de-claw him. We have had these on him for the past month and they work great - the first set did not last 2 weeks, but I was conservative with the glue. The second time I applied them, I used more glue and they have stayed snuggly on for the past week and a half and they seem much more secure. Ever since we brought Mickey home, we have made sure he got comfortable with us handling his paws by playing with them and flexing his "fingers," so he allows me to put these on with little fuss. He did not like the caps at first but doesn't mind them now. They are pricey but we will continue to use them, scratch free = happy family.
