I installed these beauties over a year ago and they're still rockin'. I own a Harley-Davidson WideGlide so there are limited mounting options so I just threw it all into my windshield bag....perfect set up. My windshield is detachable so I spliced the wires at the forks for easy disconnecting.
I can easily hear most songs up to 75mph. Depending on the tone of the song, it can fade at 65 and above. Much depends on any headwinds as well. I even ride with earplugs and during the winter with a fullface helmet and have no trouble hearing them. Took a little while of adjusting the amp and my player settings to get the best sound at high speeds.
It came down the point that I either found a good system or bought a bike with speakers. This was a good compromise.
